Shown are some of the members of
the PAHH Board of Directors and PAHH homeowner mentor John
Wilson (2nd from left) who broke ground on Saturday, March 25
signifying the start of construction on House #13 in partnership
with Sherrie (reading some prepared remarks) and Sage Mathus
(wearing dark T-shirts to the right of center in the picture).
This house is sponsored by the
local Coldwell Banker/Bishop Realty in commemoration of the
national Coldwell Banker 100 Anniversary. Twelve local Coldwell
Banker/Bishop Realty representatives attended the ceremony. PAHH
President Charles Proudfoot (seen behind the stud wall) emceed
the event; Vice-president Bruce Hopkins is seen on the right
next to Sage.

Some well-wishers sign the "Posterity
Wall" made of studs that will be incorporated into the Mathus' home.
Foxworth-Galbraith Lumber Co. donated
the studs for the wall. |

Part of
the crowd of over sixty (60) people who attended the 10:00 a.m.
groundbreaking ceremony. After two weekends of winter-like weather,
including reports of 30+ inches of snow in Payson on March 11-12,
this day dawned bright and sunny – great "shirt-sleeves weather. |

COLDWELL BANKER/BISHOP REALTY
"GIVING PAHH A HELPING HAND"
The nationwide Coldwell Banker Real Estate Corporation,
commemorating its 100th anniversary in 2006, has committed to building 100
Habitat for Humanity homes in the U.S. including one in Payson! The
local affiliate, Bishop Realty, serving the Rim Country since 1972 has
joined the Coldwell Banker "100 Homes by Our 100th Anniversary Campaign"
and is the major sponsor for PAHH's House #13.
In a September 2005 ceremony held at the Roundup offices,
Richard Haddad, Payson Roundup publisher, drew the winning tickets
from a four-month-long Jeep raffle campaign conducted by the Payson and
Pine area Coldwell Banker agencies. Greg and Wendy Pruett of
Phoenix (and Payson area property owners) won the Jeep. A second
prize, a 3-day/2-night trip to San Francisco, was won by Stuart Blagg
of Tulsa, OK. James Hall of Pine was awarded third prize – a
golf outing at the prestigious Rim Club in Payson.
Approximately $30,000 toward the construction of PAHH's
House #13 has been raised during the raffle and augmented by donations
from Coldwell Banker Bishop Realty agents. The agents
continued to donate until the end of
2005 to add even more.
